Context:
As a school we take our responsibilities around finance very seriously. Every pound we receive must impact positively on the outcomes for our children. Effective governance and strategic support is vital, and our Governors provide outstanding financial support to the school. Mark Carter (Chair of Governors) and Adrian Granger-Brown lead on this area. We are also supported by the Schools Finance Team at Cambridgeshire County Council.
As a Parent / Carer:
Emma Presland in the school office handles all day-to-day school finances and therefore supports with Arbor our payment system for all activities (school lunches, sports clubs, school trips and PTFA events). Any questions about this can be directed to Emma in the office.
Benchmarking:
A really useful tool for schools is the DfE benchmarking facility, which enables us to compare ourselves with other schools. Each school has unique circumstances, but this tool enables us to quality assure our decision-making processes.
Government Grants

Pupil Premium | Sports Premium
Note: the reporting timeframes are historical – for any queries related to these grants, please do contact the school.
Governance / Quality Assurance:
The Resources Committee provides assurance of financial matters related to school activity and regularly reports to the full Governing Body on finance. Alongside school staff, governors support the strategic process of budget planning and monitoring through external support and scrutiny from the County Finance Team.
To support quality assurance, the school undertakes the Schools financial value standard (SFVS) process each year. This process is signed off by the Chair of the Resources committee and Chair of Governors. Further guidance on this process can be found below.
