Early Morning Breakfast Club

At Great Abington Primary School we run a daily activity / breakfast club for up to 16 pupils. As part of the provision, your child(ren) will have access to a range of breakfast items including: bagels, toast, bread, yoghurt, fresh fruit, cereals, milk, orange or apple juice. Activities range from sports, craft, art and construction and will be indoor or outdoor depending on the weather. Further details will be sent through once your child(ren) is / are signed up. This provision is open to all children of Great Abington Primary School in Reception to Year 6.

Pricing Model (from September 2025)

Regular booking: £5.60 per session (£4.30 for a sibling)
Casual booking: £6.40 per session (£5.10 for a sibling)

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 7.45am - 8.40am

After School Clubs

At Great Abington Primary School we have a full programme of after-school enrichment clubs. These include sporting, activity and cultural opportunities for all our pupils. If your son or daughter is in receipt of the Pupil Premium grant, the school will support with the cost. If you are unsure whether your son / daughter is entitled to Pupil Premium funding, please do contact the school office before booking for clubs run by Great Abington Primary School.

Note: once you have booked and paid for a club, then your child(ren) is/are on the register for that club.

Dates: 14th April 2026, 21st April 2026, 28th April 2026, 5th May 2026 & 12th May 2026– 5 sessions only

Thursday 3.15pm - 4.15pm Key Stage 2 (Years 3, 4, 5 & 6 only)

Dates: 16th April 2026, 30th April 2026, 7th May 2026 & 14th May 2026– 4 sessions only

 

After School Sports Clubs

Run by Great Abington Primary School (£4.00 per club / £2.00 per club for Pupil Premium pupils)

 

Monday 3.15pm - 4.15pm Key Stage 2 (Years 3, 4, 5 & 6 only) – Football

Dates: 27th April 2026, 11th May 2026 & 18th May 2026– 3 sessions only

 

Tuesday 3.15pm - 4.15pm Key Stage 2 (Years 3, 4, 5 & 6 only) – Dodgeball

Dates: 14th April 2026, 21st April 2026, 28th April 2026, 5th May 2026, 12th May 2026 & 19th May 2026– 6 sessions only

 

Wednesday 3.15pm - 4.15pm Key Stage 2 (Years 3, 4, 5 & 6 only) – Cricket 

Dates: 15th April 2026, 29th April 2026, 6th May 2026, 13th May 2026 & 20th May 2026– 5 sessions only

Notes:

Children need to meet Mr Waterson in the hall once their class has been dismissed. 

When after school clubs finish, please collect your child from Mr Waterson from the back playground.

Children to wear sports clothing suitable for the weather conditions and the club they are attending (school PE kit is not necessary for these clubs).

All clothing should be named and in a named bag. Before the club, children will change within school.

 

When, after school clubs finish, please collect your child from the teaching staff from the back playground.
